Job summary

The Celtic Collection is seeking an Events Bar Team Leader to join our Conference & Events operation in Wales. You will lead a busy bar team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences across conferences, galas, and large-scale events.

Join a renowned venue, support managers, coach staff, and drive high service standards during peak periods. This role offers career growth within one of the UK’s leading hospitality and events businesses.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor within a busy bar, hospitality or events environment.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume operation where guest service is the priority.
  • Banqueting or large-scale event experience would be advantageous.
  • A positive, hands-on leadership style.
  • Ability to motivate, coach and support colleagues to perform at their best.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Flexible approach to support the wider operation when required.
  • Good IT literacy.
  • Love the buzz of a packed bar, a busy event and a team delivering an unforgettable guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Manager and Supervisors in leading the Events Bar team.
  • Lead by example and inspire colleagues to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Help coordinate and deliver efficient service across multiple event bars.
  • Motivate and coach team members during busy service periods.
  • Ensure guests receive prompt, friendly and professional service at all times.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond quickly and positively to requests.
  • Ensure bar and service areas are stocked, organised and presentation-ready.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and service throughout each event.
  • Work with Conference & Events teams to ensure smooth delivery of every occasion.

No two days are ever the same. One day you could be leading bar service for an international conference, the next supporting a gala dinner, awards ceremony or major sporting event. This is a role for someone who enjoys busy shifts, leading teams and being at the heart of exciting events that create lasting memories for our guests.
