Job summary

FireFit Youth & Community Hub in Liverpool is seeking an enthusiastic Youth Worker to engage 8–18 year-olds through creative arts and digital media. You’ll plan, deliver, and evaluate activities, building confidence and aspirations while promoting inclusive participation.

The role requires safeguarding knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to work with a team to support young people’s development. This is a 36-hour per week position based in Liverpool.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience with children and young people aged 8–18.
• Ability to build positive relationships and motivate young people.
• Experience planning and delivering engaging activities for groups and individuals.
• Ability to manage groups and respond to challenging behaviour.
• Understanding of young people’s development needs and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a varied programme of engaging creative activities.
• Use creative arts and digital media to build confidence and skills.
• Build positive relationships through group activities and 1:1 support.
• Create session plans, organise equipment, identify new activities.
• Encourage participation and involve young people in design and feedback.
• Support safeguarding, promote safe and welcoming environment.
• Monitor activities and maintain records; complete safeguarding reports.
