  • Confidently manage groups, promoting positive behaviour and creating a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Support young people to identify their strengths, overcome barriers and access wider opportunities.
  • Monitor activities, maintain accurate records and complete incident, accident and safeguarding reports where required.
  • Support the wider FireFit offer where needed, including Creative and Chill zones.
  • Promote the FireFit youth offer and help increase membership, attendance and engagement.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety and equality procedures at all times.
What we’re looking for:
  • Relevant experience working with children and young people aged 8 to 18.
  • Experience delivering sports and physical activity programmes and engaging young people.
  • Confidence planning and delivering a range of sports, fitness and recreational activities.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with young people and encourage, motivate and support them.
  • Confidence managing groups of young people and responding appropriately to challenging behaviour and conflict.
  • A good understanding of young people’s development needs and the issues that are important to them.
  • Experience and a good understanding of safeguarding when working with children, young people or vulnerable groups.
  • An outgoing, enthusiastic and approachable personality, with good written and verbal communication skills.
