Job summary

FireFit Youth & Community Hub in Liverpool is seeking an enthusiastic Youth Worker to engage young people through sport, fitness and recreational activities. You’ll work with the FireFit team to plan and deliver sessions that build confidence, teamwork and leadership while creating a safe, inclusive environment.

You’ll deliver after-school and weekend activities, support youth voice, monitor progress and help signpost opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people aged 8–18.
• Experience delivering sports and physical activity programmes.
• Ability to plan and deliver a range of activities and support youth development.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to motivate and support young people.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a varied programme of sports, fitness and recreational activities.
• Build confidence, resilience and teamwork through sport and activity.
• Create sessions, organise equipment and encourage participation.
• Promote safe, inclusive and welcoming environments and monitor youth engagement.
• Support safeguarding, health and safety and maintain records as required.
