Job summary

CVS Vets 24/7 Chester is recruiting an Out of Hours Veterinary Receptionist to put pets first. You’ll handle calls, book appointments, greet clients and manage payments in a busy after-hours setting. Training and support are provided within CVS Vets’ network.

We’re offering part-time hours (8.5 per week), Monday–Friday evenings with a weekend share, and pay at the National Minimum Wage. Join a team focused on compassionate care for animals and strong client service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Receptionist or in a client-focused role.
• Experience in a veterinary setting is a bonus.
• Resilience and the ability to handle emotional situations with kindness.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls and schedule appointments.
• Respond to queries via phone, email, and in person.
• Greet and register new clients.
• Process and manage insurance forms.
• Process payments accurately.
• Organise patients using the in-house system.
• Liaise with veterinary practices to address needs.
• Provide empathy to clients during distressing times.
• Debt and refunds calls.
• Support the team and ensure clients feel welcomed.
