Job summary

Vets Now Chesterfield is seeking a Part Time Veterinary Receptionist to join our emergency pet care team. The role offers £13.45ph plus benefits and involves handling client reception, bookings, and payments in a busy clinic.

Working pattern is Monday to Thursday from 18:00 to 23:00, with additional bank holidays pro-rata. The position includes generous leave, health plan options, staff discounts, CPD allowances, and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary reception or similar customer-facing role is preferred.
• Ability to handle emergency or high-stress situations calmly.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Serve as initial contact for clients during emergencies, greet clients, answer calls, book appointments and handle payments.
• Manage clinic administration to support smooth operations and update staff on patient needs.
• Provide friendly, reassuring support and act as liaison between clients and veterinary staff.
