Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Maidstone is seeking a Part-time Evening Receptionist to join our 64-bed mental health facility in Maidstone. The role is 12 hours per week, three four-hour shifts from 4:30pm to 8pm Monday to Friday, with one weekend shift on a rota.

You will provide a professional, welcoming reception, greet visitors, manage sign-in/out, answer calls, sort post, assist with general admin, and help maintain a safe and confidential environment in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Experience as a receptionist/administrator is required.
• Proficient with Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent communication, numeracy and literacy.
• Confidentiality and accuracy are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional, welcoming reception experience.
• Greet visitors & notify staff of their arrival.
• Ensure visitors sign in & out, and that patients leaving & returning are recorded appropriately.
• Answer & transfer calls and take messages where appropriate.
• Sort & distribute post, and assist with general office duties as required.
• Keep the reception area clean & tidy.
• Promote the safety & security of all site users and ensure staff follow security protocols.
