Job summary

CYGNET is recruiting a full‑time Support Worker at Cygnet Hospital Maidstone, a 64‑bed mental health facility in Kent. Join a multi‑disciplinary team to support admission, assessment and discharge of inpatients, with a focus on dignity and safety.

You will work 38.5 hours per week on a rota including days, nights and weekends. Training and induction are provided, and a strong commitment to safeguarding and compassionate care is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support the admission, assessment, implementation and discharge of inpatients.
  • Work with the Multi-Disciplinary Team to implement treatments per care plans.
  • Undertake 1:1 or group support to meet physical and emotional needs of service users.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment; follow safeguarding guidelines.
  • Undertake de‑escalation and PMVA training to support patients with challenging behaviours.
