Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a caring individual to support a 15-year-old boy at his family home and in the community. The client has Angelman syndrome, learning disabilities, epilepsy, non-verbal communication, scoliosis, wheelchair use and gastrostomy.

This role involves double up shifts with another support worker. The position is part-time with weekday evenings (4pm–7pm) and around 15 hours per week on a flexible zero-hours contract.

Qualifications

• Support a 15-year-old boy with complex needs including Angelman syndrome, learning disabilities, epilepsy and non-verbal communication.
• Able to work in a two-person shift alongside another support worker on double up shifts.
• Flexible to weekday evenings and committed to regular, planned rotas.

Responsibilities

• Support one individual with complex needs in his family home and in the community.
• Be part of a consistent care team with regular, planned weekly shifts.
• Follow rotas and participate in ongoing training and supervision.
