Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking an EV Test Engineer to join our Europe Research & Development Centre in Peterborough, UK. You will oversee electrical and mechanical integration, commissioning, and testing of EV installations on off-highway machines, working with Cat and third-party customers to meet stringent requirements.

This role requires an engineering degree or equivalent experience, strong instrumentation knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects while travelling to CAT-owned and

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or relevant experience with increasing responsibility.
• Demonstrable high level of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical/electronic aptitude.
• Good working knowledge of instrumentation and its application.
• Excellent PC skills and ability to analyse data and produce technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to health and safety policy and safe working practices.
• Manage several machine integration projects simultaneously.
• Operate off-highway vehicles and perform wiring and testing tasks.
• Travel to off-site test and development facilities, including overseas.
• Work from engineering drawings (electrical, mechanical and hydraulic).
