Job summary

Monta powers the EV charging ecosystem and is seeking a Solution Engineer to partner with Sales, define customer requirements, and design technical solutions. You will own technical discovery, deliver tailored demos, and ensure feasible handoffs to implementation.

The role requires fluent English and willingness to travel around Europe to customer workshops. You will work in a fast-paced, AI-enabled environment that values ownership and detailed delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role (Solution Engineer, Sales Engineer or pre-sales).
• Able to explain technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders and dig into governance with engineers.
• Proficient discovery to identify the real problem behind requirements.
• Ability to build demos tailored to customer use cases, not generic tours.
• Hands-on with APIs and integrations; read docs, test calls, explain flows.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery: understand customer business, charging setup, and integration needs.
• Run customer-focused demos tailored to use cases.
• Design high-level architecture and integration approach (OCPP, OCPI, APIs, ERP, energy management).
• Lead proofs of concept and evaluations with clear scope and success criteria.
• Answer technical, architecture, integration and security questions in meetings and RFPs.
• Spot risks early; flag gaps and dependencies before deals commit; push back when needed.
• Partner with Sales on technical strategy for complex, multi-country deals.
• Handover scope to Solution Architect for smooth implementation.
• Close the loop with Product by feeding back requirements and gaps.
• Support post-sales with migrations or technical workshops.
