Job summary

Arnold Clark Group is seeking a mechanic in Telford to service, repair and maintain a wide range of vehicles. You will diagnose issues with precision, perform repairs and conduct road tests to ensure safety and quality. The role includes ongoing training, a supportive team, and access to the latest vehicle technology.

We offer £40,000–£50,000 DOE, overtime at time and a half, 33 days leave incl. growth, private healthcare and sick-pay cover, and excellent employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3.
• Solid work experience in the automotive industry.
• Strong communication skills in a fast-paced workshop.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a busy team.
• Capable of meeting deadlines and delivering high standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspect engine and mechanical/electrical systems to diagnose issues with diagnostic tools.
• Repair or replace faulty parts and components.
• Perform DVSA testing if authorised.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
