Arnold Clark is hiring a skilled mechanic to service, repair and maintain a wide range of vehicles at York Motorstore. You will work to high standards, diagnose issues with modern diagnostics, and ensure parts are repaired or replaced efficiently.

Training to EV accreditation is provided, with generous annual leave and over time paid. We support flexible hours, private healthcare options, and opportunities to review salary yearly.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3; automotive sector experience.
• Ability to work alone or in a busy team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Able to meet deadlines.
• Full driving licence.

Responsabilités

• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspect engine and components to diagnose issues using diagnostics equipment.
• Repair or replace defective parts.
• Carrying out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised).
• Road test vehicles after repairs.
• Maintain equipment and ensure tools are in good condition.
• Follow checklists and complete all documentation.
