Job summary

Arnold Clark Group is seeking qualified mechanics to service and repair vehicles at Linwood Motorstore/BYD. You will work on a wide range of manufacturers, with a focus on quality and safety. Overtime is paid at time and a half and performance bonuses are available.

The role includes extensive training to become an EV accredited Technician, generous annual leave, private healthcare and staff discounts. Flexible hours and salary reviews are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and solid work experience in the automotive industry.
• Ability to work independently or in a busy team.
• Good attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components with diagnostic equipment.
• Repairing or replacing defective parts to factory standards.
• Carrying out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised).
• Road testing vehicles to check repairs and quality.
• Maintaining tools and equipment in good condition.
• Following checklists to ensure procedures are completed.
• Completing all documentation to required standard.
