Job summary

Arnold Clark Group in Bolton is seeking an experienced vehicle mechanic to service, repair and inspect cars across a wide range of models. You will be part of a capable team and benefit from a structured environment with ongoing professional development.

You will work on a variety of manufacturers, receive training to become an EV accredited technician, enjoy flexible hours and generous holiday entitlement while earning £40,000–£50,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and solid work experience in automotive industry.
• Good communication and attention to detail; able to work independently or in a busy team.
• Able to follow written and spoken instructions precisely and safely.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspect engine and mechanical/electrical systems to diagnose issues using diagnostic tools.
• Repair or replace faulty parts and components.
• Carry out DVSA vehicle testing if authorised.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Maintain tools and equipment and follow checklists for procedures.
