Job summary

Arnold Clark Group in Clydebank is seeking a skilled mechanic to prepare customers' cars for the road ahead, performing servicing and maintenance to high standards. You’ll work on a wide range of vehicles and stay up to date with the latest in vehicle technology.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and automotive industry experience.
• Ability to work independently or in a busy team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and high standards.
• Proactive and enthusiastic approach.
• Ability to follow written and spoken instructions.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspect engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues with diagnostics equipment.
• Repair or replace defective parts.
• Carry out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised).
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Maintain equipment and ensure tools are in good condition.
• Follow checklists to complete procedures.
• Complete all required documentation.
