Job summary

Arnold Clark in Oldbury is seeking experienced mechanics to join our team at Oldbury Motorstore. You will service, repair and maintain a wide range of vehicles, using up-to-date diagnostics and tools.

We offer a generous salary (£40,000–£50,000 DOE) with overtime paid at time and a half, performance bonuses up to £9,000 every three years, 33 days holiday, private healthcare, and EV Technician training to become accredited.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3
• Solid automotive industry experience
• Ability to work independently or in a busy team
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Proactive and enthusiastic approach
• Full driving licence

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards
• Inspecting engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues
• Repairing or replacing defective parts
• Carrying out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised)
• Road testing vehicles to check repairs
• Maintaining equipment and tools in good condition
• Following checklists to complete procedures
• Completing all required documentation
