Job summary

Arnold Clark Group in Preston is seeking a qualified mechanic to safely prepare customers' cars for the road. You will service, inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of vehicles, working with modern diagnostic tools and staying up to date with the latest vehicle technology.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and solid automotive experience.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a busy team.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written and spoken instructions precisely.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspect engine and mechanical/electrical components and diagnose issues with diagnostic tools.
• Repair or replace faulty parts.
• Conduct DVSA testing if authorised.
• Road test vehicles after repairs.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Follow checklists and complete documentation to standard.
