Job summary

SWARCO Smart Mobility Solutions / EVOLT Charging Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to maintain and service EV charging stations across the M4 Corridor. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs and support installations, joining a hybrid-work model with visits from home and on-site daily.

The role involves fault finding, remote support, keeping strict safety standards, and collaborating with engineering and customer service teams.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in technical support or field service engineering.
• Experience using a multimeter and carrying out continuity testing.
• Practical, hands-on approach with confidence using tools.
• Full UK manual driving licence, right to work in the UK, and minimal points.
• Experience in EV charging or related electrical engineering sectors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily servicing and maintenance of customer EV charging stations.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, hardware, software and network faults.
• Complete repairs, including replacement of faulty parts and components.
• Support installation, commissioning, preventative maintenance, upgrades and warranty activities.
• Provide remote technical assistance to customers and field teams as needed.
• Maintain service records, worksheets and vehicle mileage.
• Manage spare parts stock and collaborate with teams to ensure availability.
• Work with engineering and customer service to deliver excellent support.
• Participate in on-call rota approximately 1 week in 5.
