Job summary

SWARCO Smart Mobility Solutions / EVOLT Charging Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our UK team. You will carry out servicing and maintenance on customer EV charging stations, diagnose faults and carry out repairs, often working on-site with occasional remote support.

You will participate in installation, commissioning, preventative maintenance and warranty activities, with a focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in technical support or field service engineering.
• Experience in servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Experience using a multimeter and continuity testing.
• Valid UK manual driving licence.
• Right to live and work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily servicing and maintenance of customer EV charging stations.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, hardware, software and network faults.
• Complete repairs, including replacement of faulty parts and components.
• Support installation, commissioning, preventative maintenance, upgrades and warranty activities.
• Provide remote technical assistance to customers and field teams when required.
• Maintain accurate service records, daily worksheets and vehicle mileage.
• Manage and replenish spare parts stock to ensure availability.
• Collaborate with technical, engineering and customer service teams to deliver excellent service.
• Support service and maintenance contracts to meet response times and SLAs.
• Ensure all work complies with safety and EV charging standards.
• Participate in an on-call rota (about 1 week in 5).
