Job summary

Arnold Clark Group is seeking an experienced mechanic at Shrewsbury Motorstore. You’ll prepare customers’ cars for the road, work across a wide range of manufacturers, and stay up to date with the latest vehicle technology. Training to become an EV accredited Technician is provided.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and solid experience in the automotive industry.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a busy team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written and spoken instructions.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Diagnose issues using computer-based diagnostic equipment.
• Repair or replace faulty parts.
• Carry out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised).
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Maintain equipment and keep tools in good condition.
• Follow checklists to complete procedures.
• Complete all required documentation.
