Arnold Clark Group in Manchester is looking for a skilled mechanic to safely prepare our customers’ cars for the road ahead, delivering meticulous servicing, repairs and maintenance. You’ll take pride in quality work and work well within a capable, motivated team.

Qualifications

• A certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and solid work experience in the automotive industry.
• Ability to work efficiently on your own or as part of a busy team.
• Strong communication skills and good attention to detail.
• Ability to meet high standards and deadlines with a proactive approach.
• Ability to follow written and spoken instructions accurately.
• Full driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspecting engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues using diagnostics.
• Repairing or replacing defective parts and conducting DVSA testing if authorised.
• Road testing vehicles to check repairs and maintain tools and equipment.
• Following checklists to ensure all procedures are completed and documentation is accurate.
