Job summary

Plaid Europe is seeking a Sales Engineer to act as the technical lead across the region, partnering with 5-6 Account Executives from the first technical conversation through proof of concept to signature. You will run technical discovery, design solutions, and demo Plaid's products to engineers and commercial buyers, ensuring customer architectures are set for long-term success on the platform.

You will help build the Sales Engineering function in Europe, from demo environments to integration

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a customer-facing technical role in API platforms.
• Hands-on API/web/mobile integration experience with REST/OAuth/webhooks/JSON/SDKs.
• Experience selling to fintech/financial services in the UK or EU.
• Ability to move between deep technical conversations and business value conversations.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and map customer requirements to Plaid's products and integration patterns.
• Deliver tailored demonstrations and own proof-of-concept engagements.
• Design integration architectures and validate approach in sandbox with customer engineers.
• Respond to technical, security, and regulatory questionnaires and RFPs.
• Build and maintain reusable selling assets for European use cases and competitive positioning.
• Translate customer feedback into structured product insight for Product/Engineering.
• Raise the technical fluency of the sales team through enablement and deal reviews.
