Job summary

WorldWide Mission Critical seeks a Sr. Director for Power Interconnection – Europe to lead strategy and execution of grid connections for hyperscale data center campuses across the UK, Ireland, and Continent.

Owns end-to-end interconnection, from initial TSO/DSO engagement to energization, and serves as primary liaison with European transmission and distribution operators and regulators. Responsibilities include directing interconnection strategy, managing 3P vendors, tracking queue positions,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience negotiating with TSOs/DSOs.
• Knowledge of EU/UK grid codes and queue reforms.
• Experience managing interconnection in multi-country markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute grid interconnection strategy for hyperscale campuses in Europe.
• Lead engagement with TSOs/DSOs and manage third-party vendors.
• Track interconnection queue positions and prepare maturity documentation.
• Negotiate connection agreements and payment structures.
• Coordinate with development teams to align milestones with schedules.
• Engage with regulators and industry bodies on policy developments.
• Provide cost, timeline, and risk input to commercial teams.
• Manage consultants for grid impact studies and permitting.
