Job summary

DataX Connect in London is seeking an Electrical Design Manager to lead electrical engineering across our European data centre portfolio. You will act as a technical authority, shaping standards, reviewing designs, and guiding projects from concept through handover while travelling across Europe approximately monthly.

The role offers significant ownership, visibility with senior leadership, and collaboration with customers, consultants and operations teams to deliver resilient, efficient power

Qualifications

• Deep experience designing and delivering electrical infrastructure for data centres or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of MV/LV power distribution and critical electrical systems.
• Ability to review and challenge complex electrical designs with customers and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for electrical engineering across the European data centre portfolio.
• Provide technical leadership across electrical design from concept through handover.
• Review, challenge and approve electrical design solutions produced by consultants and contractors.
• Own and develop electrical engineering standards, design principles and Basis of Design requirements.
• Guide across MV/LV distribution, resilience, redundancy, UPS and critical power systems.
• Lead technical discussions and resolve complex electrical engineering issues on live projects.
• Support early-stage development, feasibility and due diligence for new data centre projects.
• Interface with customers, including RFP responses and technical workshops.
