Job summary

DataX Connect is seeking a Head of Power to join its European Development team. The role is to build and own the power function as the data centre portfolio expands across Europe, from site selection and due diligence to securing grid capacity and energisation of campuses.

You will lead negotiations with utilities, TSOs and DSOs, and work with Development, Construction, Design, Operations and Commercial teams to deliver multi-hundred MW projects.

Qualifications

• You should have significant experience securing and delivering large-scale power connections.
• Background in data centre development, utilities, energy, or infrastructure is relevant.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the power and energy strategy across a European development pipeline.
• Assess grid capacity, constraints and connection opportunities during site due diligence.
• Lead engagement and commercial negotiations with utilities, TSOs, DSOs and stakeholders.
• Secure grid connections and manage the full connection process from feasibility to energisation.
• Oversee major power infrastructure programmes for campuses in the hundreds of MW.
• Collaborate with Development, Construction, Design, Operations and Commercial teams.
• Evaluate energy solutions including renewables, PPAs, storage and onsite generation.
• Establish processes for a new power function with potential team growth.
