Job summary

Prime Appointments Ltd are recruiting for an Estimator to join their Ipswich team. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with a 1-hour lunch break. Salary is £30,000 per annum.

The Estimator will prepare quotations from drawings, manage the sales cycle, source costs, and build strong customer relationships while developing new business opportunities.

Job description

A rapidly expanding manufacturing company, supplying into the construction sector and based in Creeting St Peter, Ipswich, are currently recruiting for an Estimator to join their team.

This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break. Salary is £30,000 per annum.

Your key duties in this Estimator role will include but are not limited to:

• Preparing quotations and pricing projects from technical drawings
• Managing the full sales cycle, from initial enquiry through to completion
• Sourcing costs from existing and new suppliers and supporting procurement
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers
• Developing new business opportunities and maintaining commercial awareness
• Dealing with customer enquiries via telephone, email and in person
• Attending client meetings, site visits, trade shows and CPD events

Skills and Experience required to be considered for this role:

• Previous experience in an estimating, sales or commercially focused role
• Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate quotations
• Commercially aware with a proactive approach to business development
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines
