Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced tradesperson to maintain complex healthcare facilities. The role covers routine and non-routine repairs, installation, diagnostic fault-finding and supervision of safety standards.

You will work shifts with an on-call rota, overtime and a manual driving licence is essential. Visa sponsorship is not offered, so you must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Engineering background required.
• Completed a recognised electrical, mechanical or building services apprenticeship.
• City & Guilds Level 2 in an engineering discipline with demonstrable experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complex healthcare facilities to a high standard, ensuring safety for patients, staff and visitors.
• Deliver maintenance, repair and installation work across buildings, grounds, and engineering services.
• Undertake day-to-day routine maintenance as well as complex non-routine activity.
• Carry out diagnostic fault-finding and repairs using cause-and-effect analysis and engineering drawings.
• Act as Competent Person for LV/HV electrical systems, lifts, medical gas pipelines, water and ventilation.
