Job summary

Scottish Power is seeking an experienced Sustainability Manager to support a critical reporting programme during a key reporting period. This role will focus on the collation, validation and interrogation of non-financial data, ensuring ESRS-aligned disclosures are robust and audit-ready.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in sustainability, ESG or non-financial reporting roles.
• Strong carbon accounting and emissions reporting expertise.
• Practical experience with ESRS.
• Proven track record validating and assuring large datasets.
• Experience reviewing and replicating calculations to verify results.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reconciliation and validation.

Responsibilities

• Support ESRS-aligned sustainability reporting activities.
• Validate and assure environmental and social data across emissions, energy, water, waste and biodiversity.
• Collate non-financial information and supporting evidence.
• Interrogate and verify aggregated datasets and methodologies.
• Review reporting submissions for completeness and accuracy.
• Investigate data anomalies and challenge assumptions as needed.
• Collaborate with contributors to close data gaps and obtain evidence.
• PrepareJustifications and documentation for reported figures.
• Support governance, controls and continuous improvement in reporting.
