Job summary

Ceto Talent is recruiting an Environmental & Sustainability Advisor/Manager for our client in the Scottish Highlands near Inverness. This hybrid role will involve site visits across Scotland, delivering environmental compliance, reporting and sustainability initiatives within energy, ports and infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will have a degree in a relevant field, strong data analysis skills and the ability to engage with regulators and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in environmental compliance, environmental management or sustainability.
• Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability or related discipline.
• Understanding of environmental legislation, permitting and consenting.
• Knowledge of carbon emissions and Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 reporting.
• Strong environmental data analysis and sustainability reporting skills.
• Confident engaging with operational teams, senior management, regulators and external auditors.
• Able to work across strategic initiatives and practical site-based activities.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Full right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental and sustainability activities across ports and facilities.
• Support environmental requirements for new energy projects and tenders.
• Monitor environmental performance relating to water, energy, waste and carbon.
• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and permits.
• Develop reports, procedures and reporting templates.
• Support carbon-footprint baselining, forecasting, monitoring and reporting.
• Oversee the environmental compliance of the Effluent Treatment Plant.
• Coordinate environmental audits, accreditation schemes and programmes.
• Engage with regulators, government agencies, auditors and stakeholders.
• Embed environmental best practice with HSEQ and management teams.
