Job summary

UPP is seeking an ESG Analyst to join the Energy & ESG team to drive accuracy and continuous improvement of ESG data, reporting and environmental management across our national portfolio. The role is based in our London office with hybrid working, reporting to the Director of Energy & ESG.

You will collect and analyse ESG data, support ESG disclosures, build dashboards, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve ESG performance and data quality across facilities university partnerships and

Qualifications

• Experience collecting, analysing, validating and reporting data in a professional setting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and data management skills with large datasets.
• Experience contributing to external ESG disclosures (GRESB, SECR, GRI or equivalent).
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to present to different audiences.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaborative work across teams.
• Academic or professional foundation in data analytics or numerate/scientific discipline.
• Genuine interest in ESG with analytical, organised approach and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Power BI, dashboards and visualization tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collect, validate and maintain ESG data for internal and external reporting.
• Produce benchmarking, performance reporting and data quality assurance for utilities, carbon and ESG metrics.
• Support ESG disclosures such as GRESB, GRI and SECR.
• Produce regular reporting on utilities, carbon and ESG performance and identify trends and opportunities.
• Contribute to Sustainability Report, investor ESG reporting and performance updates.
• Assist with ISO14001 Environmental Management System and compliance activities.
• Support audits, accreditations and environmental reporting requirements.
• Monitor utility consumption data, investigate anomalies and support data automation projects.
• Build relationships with internal teams, university partners and external stakeholders for ESG reporting and initiatives.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools to improve data quality and insights.
