Job summary

Otis is recruiting an Escalator Service Engineer for the Plymouth region. You will ensure passenger safety by maintaining a portfolio of lifts and escalator units on site with key clients.

Typical duties include performing scheduled maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and liaising with customers to maintain reliability and safety on all units. This role offers a competitive salary and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Escalator service, maintenance, or repair.
• Hold a driver’s license and within 1 hour commute of Liverpool.
• At least 24 months of experience in the elevator sector.
• Strong skills in electricity and electrical engineering.
• Committed professional with safety as priority.
• Comfortable communicating to others.
• Curious, adaptable, and able to work alone or in a team.
• Comfortable using electronic and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out 100% of the elevator maintenance and service visits of the units within your territory.
• Work within your defined geographical area / territory, managing the portfolio of escalators within it.
• Respond proactively and quickly to fix any breakdowns, aiming to achieve first time fix.
• Carry out minor repairs to achieve continual operation. Liaise directly with the customer while on site to build a good working relationship.

Otis is growing and is looking for an Escalator Repair engineer for one of our entities in the Plymouth region. You will ensure the safety of passengers by safely maintaining a portfolio of lifts and escalator units.

• Carry out 100% of the elevator maintenance and service visits of the units within your territory.
• Work within your defined geographical area / territory, managing the portfolio of escalators within it.
