Job summary

Otis is seeking an Escalator Service Engineer for the Plymouth region to ensure passenger safety by maintaining lifts and escalators. You will manage a portfolio of units, perform scheduled maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and carry out minor repairs while liaising with customers on site to foster strong working relationships.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in Escalator service/maintenance/repair, a valid driver’s license within 1 hour of Liverpool, and at least 24 months in the elevator

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Escalator service, maintenance or repair.
• Driver's license and within 1 hour of Liverpool.
• Minimum 24 months of experience in the elevator sector.
• Strong electrical engineering knowledge.
• Committed professional with safety as priority.

Responsibilities

• Carry out 100% of the elevator maintenance and service visits within your territory.
• Work within your defined geographical area, managing the portfolio of escalators.
• Respond quickly to fix breakdowns, aiming for first-time fix.
• Carry out minor repairs to maintain continual operation.

Otis is growing and is looking for an Escalator Repair engineer for one of our entities in the Plymouth region. You will ensure the safety of passengers by safely maintaining a portfolio of lifts and escalator units.

On a typical day you will:

• Carry out 100% of the elevator maintenance and service visits of the units within your territory.
• Work within your defined geographical area / territory, managing the portfolio of escalators within it.
• Respond proactively and quickly to fix any breakdowns, aiming to achieve first time fix.
• Carry out minor repairs to achieve continual operation.
• Liaise directly with the customer while on site to build a good working relationship.

What you will need to be successful.

• Hold an NVQ level 3 in Escalator service, maintenance, or repair.
