Job summary

Otis Elevator Co. is seeking an Escalator Repair Engineer to cover Liverpool, Manchester and the Northwest.

You will ensure passenger safety by maintaining lift and escalator units within your territory and work on-site with key clients. The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in escalator service/maintenance/repair, a driving license, and at least 24 months in the elevator sector with strong electrical skills and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in escalator service, maintenance or repair required.
• Within 1 hour commute of Liverpool preferred.
• At least 24 months of experience in the elevator sector.
• Good skills in electricity and electrical engineering.
• Committed professional with safety as a priority.
• Comfortable communicating to others and able to work solo or in a team.
• Comfortable using electronic and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out 100% of the elevator maintenance and service visits within your territory.
• Manage the portfolio of elevators within your defined geographical area.
• Respond quickly to fix breakdowns with aim of first-time fix.
• Carry out minor repairs to maintain continual operation and liaise with customers on site.

Escalator Repair Engineer

Location: Liverpool / Manchester / Northwest Region

Otis is growing and is looking for an Escalator Repair engineer for one of our entities in the Northwest region. You will ensure the safety of passengers by safely maintaining a portfolio of lifts and escalator units.

Responsibilities

• Carry out 100% of the elevator maintenance and service visits of the units within your territory.
• Work within your defined geographical area / territory, managing the portfolio of elevators within it.
• Respond proactively and quickly to fix any breakdowns, aiming to achieve first time fix.
• Carry out minor repairs to achieve continual operation. Liaise directly with the customer while on site to build a good working relationship.

Requirements

• Hold an NVQ level 3 in Escalator service, maintenance, or repair.
• Hold a driver’s license and within 1 hour commute of Liverpool.
• You have at least 24 months of experience in the elevator sector.
• You have good skills in electricity and electrical engineering.
• You are a committed professional, with safety as your priority.
• You are comfortable communicating to others.
• You are curious, adaptable, and you know how to work alone or in a team.
