Job summary

Freightliner Ltd is seeking a Project Manager to lead the ERTMS programme within the Freightliner IML entity in the UK. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver delivery on time, within budget and to required safety standards.

The role requires extensive experience in rail projects, governance discipline and strong stakeholder engagement with Network Rail and industry groups.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering large-scale, complex rail/infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of ERTMS and digital signalling beneficial.
• Strong governance, planning and funding management required.

Responsibilities

• Define the ERTMS delivery and contracting strategy for Freightliner IML.
• Translate national ERTMS developments into Freightliner IML strategy.
• Ensure alignment with commercial, operational and engineering priorities.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts and cost controls.
• Lead the Freightliner IML ERTMS team and manage third-party delivery partners.
• Maintain comprehensive risk, issue and dependency management.
• Represent Freightliner with Network Rail and industry forums.
