Job summary

Serco Limited is seeking an ER Advisor to act as the first point of contact for employee relations inquiries. The role is hybrid, attached to the Solihull office with on-site presence twice a week.

You will provide ER guidance across the employee lifecycle, handle cases end-to-end, log activities in the People Services system, and ensure compliance with employment law and best practices. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Employee relations within a customer service environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage time.
• Proactive, resourceful and confidential handling of information.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• CIPD is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide an ER service to people managers on HR issues and lifecycle procedures.
• Manage end-to-end and timely closure of employee relations cases (discipline, absence, grievance, etc.).
• Log activities on the People Services case management system and store documents.
• Provide guidance to ensure policy compliance with employment law and best practice.
• Work with sensitive data in line with data protection legislation.
• Deliver excellent customer service to UK Serco employees, partners, alumni and applicants.
• Follow defined procedures and processes; escalate complex cases when needed.
