Job summary

National Plant Hire Company in Glasgow is seeking a Hire Controller to manage customer enquiries, orders and equipment collections. You will quote prices, plan transport and work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to prioritise tasks, and the capacity to work autonomously under deadlines. A comprehensive benefits package applies, with a salary up to £32K per year plus a 7.5% bonus.

Qualifications

• Ability to prioritise and resolve issues promptly.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Good business awareness and attention to detail in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customer enquiries.
• Receive orders and arrange collections of equipment.
• Prepare and supply quotes.
• Plan transport for deliveries and collections.
• Collaborate proactively with all departments.
• Handle damages, calculate costs, liaise with customers and ensure payment.
• Full training on product range will be given.
