Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Equipment Controller to join our Clinical Engineering team. The role entails processing medical equipment, orders, and calls, and maintaining records on the eQuip asset management system.

You will provide reception and admin support in a small team that manages 30,000+ assets and collaborates with external engineers, clinicians and managers. The post is 22.5 hours per week, primarily 3 days, with flexible options.

Qualifications

• General office skills are required including moving and handling of medical equipment.
• To process medical equipment, orders, telephone calls, recording of information on the eQuip asset management system.
• Provide a full reception service and administrative support to Clinical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• To process medical equipment, orders, telephone calls, recording of information on the eQuip asset management system and other related day to day activities.
• Provide a full reception service and administrative cover to Clinical Engineering.
• Collaborate with external medical engineers, internal staff and managers, consultants, junior medical staff, and ward/department staff.
