Job summary

inspiring vet care in Tadley is hiring a part-time receptionist to support client care at the Tadley branch with occasional travel to Thatcham and Newbury. You will handle inquiries, book appointments and maintain a friendly telephone manner in a busy practice.

We offer training, a collaborative team, and progressive development opportunities. The role includes weekend shifts on a rota and a supportive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service role.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident using IT systems and MS Office.
• Willing to work Mondays–Fridays with occasional Saturdays on rota.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to clients.
• Answer and direct telephone calls and manage appointments.
• Assist with reception duties and basic IT tasks.
• Travel to Thatcham and Newbury when required.

Donnington Grove Veterinary Group is one of the largest vets in the area. We have three practices based in Newbury, Thatcham and Tadley which means we have a large client base as well as many loyal and long-standing clients. Our receptionist's focus is to provide excellent customer service and make the clients experience the best it can be.

This is a part-time position based at our Tadley branch but there may be a requirement to travel to Thatcham and Newbury

How You’ll Make a Difference

Ideally, you will:

• Have great organisational skills
• Have good communication skills
• Be confident using IT systems
• Be able to work different shifts and some weekends on a rota basis
• Have prior experience working in a customer service role

Work pattern

• Monday: 1:30pm–7:00pm
• Tuesday: 2:30pm–7:00pm
• Wednesday: 2:30pm–7:00pm
• Friday: 2:30pm–7:00pm
• Every 1 in 10 Saturdays: Tadley TOIL

You Might Be a Great Fit If...

We require someone who can work well under pressure, is a team player and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You will need a confident and friendly telephone manner as many client interactions are telephone-based.

Excellent equine knowledge is essential as you will be answering emergency phone calls. Full training will be provided for the role; however, you will need to be competent in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
