Job summary

CVS Vets' Equine Clinic in Berkshire is seeking an experienced Head Receptionist to lead the front desk for our equine team. You will oversee two receptionists, triage calls, manage diary bookings and support the Practice Director with admin duties to ensure a smooth service for clients and patients.

We welcome applicants who have strong customer service, leadership in busy settings and a genuine interest in animal care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Receptionist/Administrator or in a demanding, client-focused role is essential.
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team are highly beneficial.
• In-depth equine knowledge from owning or working with horses is required.
• Resilience and the ability to handle emotional situations with kindness and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Manage a two-receptionist team to ensure excellent customer service.
• Perform multi-tasking administrative duties and support the Practice Director with finance, Health & Safety and rotas.
• Answer calls, manage the diary, and welcome clients to ensure a positive experience.
• Handle appointment bookings, respond to queries, take payments, and arrange medication orders.
