Job summary

Cadent is seeking an Environmental Specialist hybrid role at Ansty Business Park to drive environmental excellence across major infrastructure projects. You’ll provide expert advice, influence behaviors, and help Cadent meet regulatory requirements while delivering sustainable outcomes across the project portfolio.

You will work with Capital Delivery teams and supply chain partners to identify risks, improve performance, and ensure compliance with environmental legislation and standards,

Qualifications

• Experience delivering environmental management support within utilities, infrastructure, construction or regulated industries.
• Strong understanding of environmental legislation, permits and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 environmental management systems, auditing and assurance.
• Ability to influence and build relationships with project teams, contractors and regulators.
• Experience developing performance measures and reporting for environmental improvement.
• Experience supporting investigations and implementing lessons learned.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to engage stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Drive environmental excellence across major infrastructure projects.
• Act as trusted environmental advisor to project teams and supply chain.
• Identify and manage environmental risks and improve performance.
• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and standards.
• Develop KPIs and support continuous environmental improvement.
