Job summary

ECL ltd in Cardiff is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to lead the internal health, safety, environmental and quality compliance framework. You will own the processes, drive ISO 14001 alignment and strengthen the broader quality-management system, partnering with leaders to embed practical compliance across the business.

Ideal candidates bring a solid Health & Safety and auditing background, strong knowledge of ISO standards, and the ability to translate findings into actionable

Qualifications

• Strong background in Health & Safety, compliance, quality or integrated management systems.
• Good knowledge of ISO 14001.
• Experience implementing or improving ISO management systems.
• Experience with internal audits.
• Identify compliance gaps and turn findings into practical actions.
• Excellent written communication and document control.
• Pragmatic, able to create operational processes.
• Strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of ECL’s internal Health & Safety, environmental, quality and compliance processes.
• Develop and implement Environmental Management System aligned with ISO 14001, and strengthen Quality Management System.
• Review and improve policies, procedures, risk assessments and management systems to stay practical and compliant.
• Lead internal audits and compliance reviews, manage schedules, findings and corrective actions, and prepare for external audits.
• Act as a champion for policies, procedures and continuous improvement across the business.
• Work with managers and employees to ensure compliance requirements are understood and followed.
• Monitor legislation, standards and guidance, providing training and updates.
• Investigate incidents and non-conformances, maintain records and provide clear compliance reporting.
