Job summary

Shirley Parsons partners with a leading UK infrastructure organisation to deliver environmental excellence on a nationally important programme. You will drive environmental compliance, advise project teams and regulators, and mentor junior staff to foster continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in environmental science, strong EMS/ISO 14001 knowledge, and proven experience on major construction projects, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental/science required or equivalent experience
• Understanding of EMS, applicable environmental legislation and site controls
• Excellent communication with site teams, regulators and stakeholders
• Proactive identification of risks and implementation of solutions
• IEMA Practitioner or equivalent preferred, with cross-disciplinary experience

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of environmental compliance across construction activities
• Provide practical environmental advice to project managers and subcontractors
• Carry out inspections, audits and performance reporting for compliance
• Build relationships with regulators, clients and stakeholders
• Mentor and develop environmental staff and promote continuous improvement
