Job summary

Shirley Parsons is partnering with a leading organisation delivering a national infrastructure project to appoint an Environmental professional. You will drive compliance, advise project teams and lead audits to ensure regulatory consent requirements are met.

The role emphasises collaboration with regulators and clients, plus mentoring junior staff to foster excellence in environmental performance on site.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in an environmental or scientific discipline (or equivalent experience).
• IEMA Practitioner is ideal with broad exposure across ecology, water, air, noise, waste and compliance.
• Experience supporting major construction or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental compliance across construction activities with a focus on sustainable best practice.
• Partner with project managers and site teams to provide practical environmental advice.
• Carry out environmental inspections, audits and performance reporting.
• Build relationships with regulators, clients and stakeholders to improve outcomes.
• Mentor and develop environmental advisors and technicians.
