Job summary

Shirley Parsons is partnering with a well-established organisation in the construction and infrastructure sector to appoint an Environmental Management System (EMS) Advisor. You’ll own and manage the EMS and drive continual environmental improvement across the business.

You’ll join a dedicated Environment & Sustainability team, collaborating with colleagues, clients and stakeholders to embed compliance and high environmental standards on projects across the UK.

Qualifications

• EMS experience in an environmental role with hands-on responsibility.
• Understanding of environmental legislation, ISO 14001, auditing and compliance.
• Comfortable working with environmental data and reports.
• Able to engage effectively with colleagues, clients and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve the EMS in line with ISO 14001 and current legislation.
• Plan and support environmental audits and ensure legal and permit requirements are met.
• Monitor, analyse and report environmental data for internal and client use.
• Work with project teams, clients and external stakeholders to implement environmental standards.
• Deliver training and awareness to promote best practice and behavioural change.
• Support sustainability initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
