Job summary

Shirley Parsons is partnered with a leading organisation delivering one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects. They are seeking an experienced environmental professional to lead environmental compliance across construction activities and drive sustainable best practice.

You will collaborate with project managers, regulators and subcontractors, conduct audits, and mentor advisers to foster a culture of environmental excellence while ensuring delivery is not compromised.

Qualifications

• Degree‑level qualification in environmental or scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of Environmental Management Systems and ISO 14001.
• Experience supporting major construction or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of environmental compliance across construction activities.
• Provide practical environmental advice to project managers, site teams and subcontractors.
• Carry out environmental inspections, audits and performance reporting.
• Build relationships with regulators, clients and stakeholders to drive positive environmental outcomes.
• Mentor environmental advisors and technicians to foster continuous improvement.
