Job summary

PWE Recruitment Group is assisting a major energy infrastructure programme to hire an Environmental Advisor. You will help drive environmental compliance, sustainable performance and continuous improvement across site operations within a highly regulated construction environment.

You will conduct site inspections, advise on legislation and permits, review management plans, support audits and collaborate with contractors and stakeholders to protect the environment and support the UK's clean

Qualifications

• Must have degree in environmental discipline and experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Solid knowledge of UK environmental legislation and best practices.
• Experience with ISO 14001-aligned Environmental Management Systems.
• Understanding of CDM Regulations 2015 and client-contractor responsibilities.
• Ability to review environmental documentation and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections to monitor environmental compliance and performance.
• Provide environmental guidance on legislation, permits and consent requirements.
• Review Environmental Management Plans, RAMS and contractor documentation.
• Support environmental audits, assessments and assurance activities.
• Investigate environmental incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Identify and elevate environmental and contractual risks.
• Monitor compliance with DCO requirements and environmental standards.
• Promote positive environmental behaviours across construction teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and sustainability objectives.
• Collaborate with contractors, stakeholders and project teams.
