Job summary

Our Client is seeking an Environmental Advisor to safeguard the environment on one of the UK's most significant clean energy projects, driving compliance, sustainability performance and continuous improvement across site operations in a highly regulated construction setting.

You will review plans, RAMS and contractor documentation, support audits and incident investigations, and work with stakeholders to manage environmental risks while contributing to the project’s national infrastructure

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Science or related discipline.
• Experience in environmental roles within construction, infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation and best practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections to monitor environmental compliance and performance.
• Provide environmental guidance on legislation, permits and consent requirements.
• Review Environmental Management Plans, RAMS and contractor documentation.
• Support environmental audits, assessments and assurance activities.
• Investigate environmental incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Identify and elevate environmental and contractual risks.
• Monitor compliance with DCO requirements and environmental standards.
• Promote positive environmental behaviours across construction teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and sustainability objectives.
• Collaborate with contractors, stakeholders and project teams.
