Job summary

Amentum seeks a site-based Environmental Advisor to join the Sizewell C Construction Delivery Team, ensuring environmental compliance and sustainable delivery on a major UK infrastructure project. You will work within a dedicated environmental team, interfacing with contractors and SZC stakeholders to uphold permits and DCO requirements.

As part of a regulated program, you will drive environmental performance, conduct site inspections, review RAMS/EMP, and contribute to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Experience in an Environmental Management role on a dynamic, site-based construction or industrial project.
• Knowledge of UK environmental legislation for construction/industrial installations.
• Understanding of CDM Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015).
• Ability to work independently with strong communication and influencing skills.
• Degree in Environmental Management or related discipline; EMS experience.
• Experience with EMS standards such as BS EN ISO 14001.

Responsibilities

• Undertake regular site inspections of contractors’ work areas and raise observations or issues.
• Provide guidance on environmental legislation, permits and planning constraints.
• Review EMPs, RAMS to ensure alignment with DCO and SZC standards.
• Support internal audits and ensure legal compliance.
• Lead or support environmental incident investigations and actions to prevent recurrence.
• Identify environmental risks and escalate to Environmental & Sustainability Manager.
• Promote positive environmental behaviours and continuous improvement.
