Job summary

Sellafield is seeking an experienced environmental professional to provide expert guidance across regulatory and technical environmental matters in a highly regulated nuclear context.

You will influence design, construction, operation and decommissioning activities by embedding robust environmental standards and driving continuous improvement. The role requires strong communication and a track record of delivering compliant, safe outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM subject or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of environmental management systems and risk assessment.
• Experience providing environmental compliance advice in highly regulated settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for broad stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with attention to documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional advice on environmental matters to management and staff.
• Develop and apply environmental arrangements and standards for compliance.
• Prepare reports (BAT Assessments, Environment Cases) and support authorisations.
• Undertake inspections and assurance activities to verify compliance.
• Collaborate with operations, projects and contractors to embed environmental standards.
